Hi, I was wondering

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had some advice for me. I've been playing piano for about 2 yearsish, and I think I'm probably at a mid level now. I had a teacher for about a year, and we did the first of Bartok's Mikrokosmos books. I don't have a teacher right now, however, but am still continuing to try and practice on my own. But at this point in time, I'm not really sure what kinds of pieces to look towards playing. My friend lent me a copy of Bach's 2 and 3 part inventions, but all of those pieces seemed way too hard for my level! Even though I spent a lot of time trying to learn them, I still feel that they are above my level right now... Does anyone have ideas of pieces I should try playing? Not just classical, but also jazz pieces or rock or other styles too?

If the inventions are too difficult, try the Anna Magdelena Notebook (the Schirmer and Alfred editions are called First Lessons in Bach).
